January 25, 2018

Meryl Streep is a walking living legend and that is not to be debated. Whether you know her as bossy and fabulous Miranda Presley or chef extraordinaire Julia Childs, Streep has earned her title as one of America's favorite leading ladies. This household name has been exceeding expectations, movie after movie since her first appearance on the big screen back in 1977. Over 20 years in the industry and featuring in over 50 films, Streep continues to wow us by shattering glass ceilings in Hollywood and breaking records by the day.

In true Streep fashion, she recently just broke her own record for Academy Awards nominations and is now, once again, the most nominated actor in Academy Award history

Only one month into 2018, and Streep's appearance has already gotten insane buzz along with an oscar nomination for her portrayal as Katharine Graham in Steven Spielberg's, The Post.

But for an icon such as  Meryl Streep, what else should you expect.

Much more than an incredible actress, with loads of accolades to her name. Meryl Streep is an active supporter of woman's right and philanthropy. She has vocally stood in solidarity with women in the fight for equal pay, justice and to fight for the end of poverty. Her thought provoking speeches encourages everyone to change and be aware of our current circumstances.

In addition, her and her longtime husband, Donald Gummer, founded Silver Mountain Foundation for the Arts because of their shared love of education, culture and art.  With this foundation they have donated millions to those in need in support of the cause.

From her numerous speeches, legendary performances and still humble persona Streep has earned her stripes as one of the greatest of all time.

This Hollywood gem continues to wow us in front and behind the camera and doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
