Tiffany Haddish Graces the Cover of Time’s 100 Most Influential People Issue

The success of actress and comedian, Tiffany Haddish has been a long time coming. Haddish who has a painful background in foster care, loads of heartache, and years of the constant grind to comedy stardom, is finally getting the recognition she so desperately deserves. From her breakout role in Girl’s Trip or her up and coming film Night School also produced by Will Packer, Haddish is booked and busy. Her constant work ethic, hustle and authenticity has now led her to the well deserved cover of Time’s 100 most influential people.

Every year, Time Magazine lists out the move makers, game changers and brilliant people who are changing the world as we know it. Whether in their chosen fields, or simply being the light needed for the culture, Time breaks down the 100 people we should be on the lookout for.

This year, Haddish joins the greats and makes history right before our eyes as she graces 1 of the 6 given covers.

Alongside Tarana Burke, founder of the #MeToo movement, tennis player Roger Federer, singer/actress Jennifer Lopez, actress Nicole Kidman and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, the young girl from the hoods of California is now in the presence of greatness.

Haddish hasn’t had an easy life, and her road to stardom has been filled with chaos but she has always remained true to herself regardless of the cards dealt to her. As friend and fellow comedian, Kevin Hart shared in the issue, the authenticity of Haddish is what sets her aside from other comedians.

“She’s just so authentic and unfiltered,” Hart wrote. “You never know what’s going to come out of her mouth. And you can tell she’s having fun—she’s seen a time when things couldn’t get any worse, and she’s giving it all she has.”

Haddish originally from South Central L.A, as seen the insides of many foster homes, and faced more pain than most, but throughout her journey, she still managed to make her way not only to our television screens but now on the cover of Time magazine’s most influential people... seems like she’s doing alright.
